Fishing Reports

In our area enjoy year round fishing for Sturgeon, Perch, Largemouth Bass, a variety of Rockfish, Rainbow Trout, Sea Run Cutthroat Trout, and Herring, as well as Dungeness Crab, Razor Clams (when conditions are safe), Soft Shell Clams, and Mussels.

From December through February, Steelhead fishing is excellent. Beginning in May and running through July, Shad fishing is popular. In June, local runs of Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) Salmon begin, continuing until November. Albacore Tuna and Pacific Halibut can be caught offshore from June through September.

LATEST PORT FISHING REPORT UPDATES

Salmon reports.

The first Silver (Coho) Salmon was caught over the weekend (21 June), by a camper staying at the Port of Siuslaw Campground. Fishermen reported many Chinook Salmon were also caught and released. Dungeness crab are still plentiful as well.
