Many of you may have read the Siuslaw News headline which read “Port Reviews Rate Increases”. The story itself did not contain any discussion about rate increases. In fact, there was no discussion at the commission meeting on September 21 regarding any future rate changes.
Port staff is reviewing the confusing rate structure for the marina at the present time. The goal of the changes will be to simplify the current rates for marina customers. Any changes to moorage rates need to be approved by the Port Commission. At the present time, there are no plans to increase or decrease moorage rates.
