BOATING RELATED REGISTRATION AND OPERATION
When boats change ownership, it is important to properly record this title transfer. As part of the moorage agreement, the Port of Siuslaw requires registration with applicable State and Federal agencies and recognizes recorded registration records. Ownership of a boat is not transferred until transfer documents are recorded with the appropriate government agency. Until that time, the original owner is responsible for all charges.
Boat and trailer registration can be accomplished by mail, online, or in person at State offices in Salem and through Agent locations around the State of Oregon. Frequently asked questions with regard to boat registration can be found through this link:
