Fishing Reports
In our area enjoy year round fishing for Sturgeon, Perch, Largemouth Bass, a variety of Rockfish, Rainbow Trout, Sea Run Cutthroat Trout, and Herring, as well as Dungeness Crab, Razor Clams (when conditions are safe), Soft Shell Clams, and Mussels.
From December through February, Steelhead fishing is excellent. Beginning in May and running through July, Shad fishing is popular. In June, local runs of Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) Salmon begin, continuing until November. Albacore Tuna and Pacific Halibut can be caught offshore from June through September.

Charter Fishing Available at the Port

The Port of Siuslaw is pleased to announce Fish Tales Guide & Charter Service is operating out of our West Marina. Captained by Greg Helmer, the 35′ Fish Tales II, is available for fishing charters and boat rides.
Greg says it’s time to go fishing! Call to book your halibut, salmon or tuna trip now.
