The Port of Siuslaw Commission adopted mandatory vessel insurance at it’s July 20th commission meeting.
Recreational vessels are required to carry $100,000 in liability insurance with wreck/salvage coverage and pollution coverage in the amount of $1,000.000.
Commercial vessels are required to carry $250,000 in liability insurance with wreck/salvage coverage and pollution coverage in the amount of $1,000,000.
Both types of vessels will be required to name the “Port of Siuslaw” as a certificate holder.
Moorage customers will need to provide the port office with the “Declaration Page” as proof of insurance when moorage is renewed.
